The elliptical trainer is
perhaps the most popular of all types of cardio equipment, also
known as the Precor elliptical trainer; it has taken over aerobic
exercise because of its low impact movement. This elliptical motion
minimizes impact to your joints and back while simultaneously
exercising the muscles of your lower body. With a lower rate of
perceived exertion the elliptical machine line makes workouts
seem easier. With leading brands such as the Precor elliptical
trainer, who has been making elliptical trainer machines since
1985 & the Life Fitness elliptical trainer, more and more
people are being introduced to the low impact exercise daily.
Precor introduced the first elliptical trainer and named it the
Precor EFX; they then introduced the Precor 544 machine, and then
ultimate Precor EFX 546. The Precor elliptical trainer line is
undoubtedly superb from design to functionality. Life Fitness
ellipticals such as the CT9500HR & CT9500HRR are leading the
field in total body crosstraining, which involved upper and lower
body cardio conditioning.

GFI - Remanufacturing process for elliptical trianer
machines.
Global
Fitness elliptical trainer machines are run through a full
diagnosis and then stripped down to bare frame which the sandblasted
to remove all the old paint. The elliptical trainer machines
are then powder coated, this is a process by which the paint
is sprayed on in a powder form and them backed onto the surface
of the elliptical machine at extremely high temperatures.
This process ensures a long lasting, good looking paint job
on the unit. The powder coating procedure is applied to handrails,
foot pedals and all other applicable elliptical trainer parts.
The elliptical trainer machines are then fitted with new bearings,
drive belts, ramp covers (only on the Precor elliptical trainer),
wheels and wheel bearings, bushings and computer consol overlays
(control panels). Certain parts of the elliptical trainer
machines are not replaced unless necessary. These parts include
elevation motors, flywheels, shrouds and the electronics.
However, the flywheels are tested and check for balance to
ensure perfect performance. Elevation motors are replaced
rarely, and are usually done so on Precor elliptical trainer
machines only. More often than replacement, the elevation
motors and brackets are completely rebuilt and installed and
tested on the units. Although the electronics for the elliptical
trainer machines are not replaced, they are however thouroughly
tested before the units go out and repaired or replaced if
necessary. Global Fitness elliptical trainer shrouds are repainted
or replaced if they are cracked or broken. All elliptical
trainer alternators, which are responsible for powering you
unit, are re-built and replaced depending on the age and the
condition of the unit when bought. New handrails, decals and
logos, and all of the elliptical trainer end caps are replaced.
After the remanufacturing process is completed, the elliptical
trainer is put through thorough testing that checks all programs,
difficulty levels and mechanics of the elliptical trainer
machine. To finish it, our 6 Months Full Parts & Labor
w/1 Yr Motor peace of mind warranty is then applied to each
of the units leaving the manufacturing line and matched to
