GFI - Remanufacturing Process For Stationary Exercise Bike Machines
Global Fitness exercise bikes are run through a full diagnosis and then stripped down to bare frame which is then sandblasted to remove all the old paint dirt and rust. The exercise bikes are then powder coated, a process by which the paint is sprayed on in a powder form and them backed onto the surface of the exercise bike at an extremely high temperature; this process ensures a long lasting, good looking finish on the unit. The powder coating procedure is applied to handrails, leveling bars (typically just in the Life Fitness brand only) and all other applicable exercise bike parts. The bikes are then fitted with new batteries, bearings, drive belts, wheels and wheel bearings (Precor exercise bike only), cranks, pedals, pedal straps and bushings. Other exercise bike parts that are replaced are the computer consol overlays, neck covers, damaged or broken shrouds decals and all end caps. The alternators and flywheels are re-built indiscriminately and tested upon installation for optimum performance and reliability. All electronics on the exercise bike is tested for dry joints and repaired or replaced accordingly and when applicable, heart rate grips are replaced when necessary. The exercise bike is then put through a series of tests which checks all programs, mechanics and difficulty levels.
