Precor doesn’t make low-quality equipment, and the EFX 556 is considered by many experts to be the best elliptical on the market. By the year 2000, more than 6 million exercisers had worked out on one (they were introduced in 1995). Work your lower and upper bodies with this durable, commercial grade machine. The ramp incline on the 556 is fixed at the optimal biomechanical angle of 25 degrees, and accurate heart-rate monitors keep you in touch with this vital information. For a cross-training effect, reverse your stride and/or take your hands off the arm handles and replace them with weights. As with all ellipticals, on the 556 you will experience reduced stress on the joints, knees, and hips as your feet are constantly on the pedals and there is no impact. To keep routines fresh, there are 7 programs and 20 resistance levels, and the 556’s effective Soft-Touch display works with the graze of a finger. |
